This post is going to be short and sweet, however I’m glad that I finally finished off some products so I can share my thoughts on them with my lovely readers! Admittedly, I clung onto these products for quite some time. It makes me realize how slowly I go through my stash, but I guess this is a sign that maybe I should be giving my collection some more love! All that aside, if you would like to learn more about my August 2016 empties, please keep reading!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – Ginger
I have a confession to make, this was the first tube I bought! That means it took me over a year to finish this little guy. Obviously I bought another tube because it became one of my favourite concealers of all time. I previously wrote an extensive review on this concealer (which can be found here), so I won’t go into too much detail. Bottom line, it’s a great product if you’re looking for something full coverage which blends out very well. It also lasts quite a while. Some people complain about how much product is left in the tube when they think they’ve run out, but all you have to do is remove the little rubber stopper from the top of the tube, and boom! That should last you another month or so.
MAC Blot Powder – Medium Dark
It took me forever to pan finish this, even after near daily use. I bought this in December 2014 because I needed something to keep my oily T-zone in check. I only picked it up because I didn’t really know of any good powders for touch ups, then I remembered that I used this product for my prom and liked it quite a bit…or so I thought! In all honesty, this powder wasn’t the greatest. It kept me matte for maybe a couple of hours before I had to touch up again. One thing I did like about the powder was that it never looked cakey whenever I reapplied, and some days I would have to touch up quite a few times. I also like how it didn’t really add any coverage and how it didn’t dry out my face. Alas, I decided not to repurchase it this time and I’m hoping to find a better replacement.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Dolce Vita
This product also took me an eternity to finish. Although I will admit, if I used it consecutively for 3-4 months I would have finished it much faster. This is my favourite “MLBB” shade. It adds just the right amount of rosiness and looks very natural. Even though it has a matte formula, I don’t find it drying in the slightest. In fact, I think it makes my lips feel quite soft since it has a bit of a silicone-like feeling. I will definitely be repurchasing this shade.
