Well, I’ll cut right to the chase: it has been almost 2 years since my last blog post! What happened? Life. Life happened. Maybe someday I will get into what has been going on in the last 24 months (all good things, for the most part!), but today I will say goodbye to 2019, and the 10s with a short and sweet post.
Even though some time has passed, I was, and remain, a makeup obsessed person. So naturally I collected a small heap of products, with a few thoughts and opinions to go with them as well. To start, I’d like to share something I usually find very useful: swatches. Today, it will be swatches of all the foundations I currently own. I’m hoping that this will be of help to anyone who shares a similar skin tone to me.
I’d like to point out that a few of these foundations aren’t actually true medium/olive tones. Some have more of a peach or pink tint to them, like the Dior Airflash Foundation (303 Warm Peach), the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer (Ginger), the Dior Backstage Face & Body (3WO) and the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation (Honey).
It’s clear that I have several shades of foundations to match my skin tone throughout the seasons, but I usually try to stick to yellow-based foundations or olive tones, if they are available. Out of all the shades I currently own, I think that the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in shade 6 is one the best medium olive shades I’ve come across. The Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation in 213 is a great olive shade as well, but it is certainly not a medium shade.
I plan on writing more in-depth reviews for these foundations and I also plan on posting more swatches for other items in my collection. For those of you who have read my posts before, thank you for continuing to check out my blog and I hope you enjoy the new content!
