My last “all the ____’s I own” post seemed to garner some interest, so I decided that I’d keep it going. This time, it is with my lovely collection of blushes. I knew that I probably had too many, but I didn’t realize just how much I had, and how similar a lot of them looked! Just goes to show that the “gotta catch ’em all” mindset is not necessary. Please read on if you’d like to see my world of blushes…
Well, I’ll cut right to the chase: it has been almost 2 years since my last blog post! What happened? Life. Life happened. Maybe someday I will get into what has been going on in the last 24 months (all good things, for the most part!), but today I will say goodbye to 2019, and the 10s with a short and sweet post.
Even though some time has passed, I was, and remain, a makeup obsessed person. So naturally I collected a small heap of products, with a few thoughts and opinions to go with them as well. To start, I’d like to share something I usually find very useful: swatches. Today, it will be swatches of all the foundations I currently own. I’m hoping that this will be of help to anyone who shares a similar skin tone to me.
For Part II of my MAC lipstick collection, I thought I would introduce the colourful shades I have picked up over time so I could write some reviews on these bright shades on tan skin. Just like the nudes from my collection, there are some that I really like, and some I don’t really care for. I usually am hesitant when it comes to buying bright lipsticks only because I know I don’t really reach for them that often, however there are some in my collection that I’m glad I took the dive for, and hopefully these swatches will be useful to some who are on the fence about any of these shades!
I have a love/hate relationship with nude lipsticks. Ever since I bought one 5 years ago after being inspired by this photograph of Kim Kardashian, I’ve been extremely disappointed with how they end up looking on me. It took me a very long time to realize that nude lipsticks on fairer women look horrible on tan skinned individuals because you end up looking like a zombie or like Tyrone Biggums. However, I have come a long way since then and have found some nude lipsticks that finally work on me, but I also wanted to write about the ones that I wasn’t too crazy about either. So without further ado, I would like to present the ones I have acquired in my MAC lipstick collection.
