I’ve been a fan of Becca’s new product releases this past year. Their Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation was a great hit for me, especially since I’ve taken interest in light coverage, luminous products. So when I heard that Becca was releasing a concealer in the Aqua Luminous Perfecting line, I was ecstatic! The whole “full coverage” thing isn’t really appealing to me much these days, so I knew I needed to get my hands on these bad boys to see if they do it for me just as well as the foundation does. If you would like to learn my thoughts on the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer, please keep reading.
A few weeks back, I wrote a post describing some tips and tricks regarding long lasting summer makeup. Theory is great and all, however I decided to put some of those words to the test. My beautiful and absolutely adorable friend, Alison, was kind enough to be my guinea pig for this segment on summer beauty. If you want to see how I did Alison’s summer makeup, please keep reading!
A couple of weeks back, I got my hands on one of the most highly anticipated products of this summer: the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette. Even though I already own Champagne Pop, this palette intrigued me because of the beautiful blush shades, and of course, I was absolutely interested in the newest highlighter, Prosecco Pop, which is supposed to cater more to darker skin tones. If you follow some makeup blogs or anything beauty-related on Instagram, you may have heard about the controversy surrounding the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection, particularly about the quality of the eyeshadow palette. Some of those allegations are now spilling over about the face palette as well, so I decided to chime in on my thoughts after using this palette quite religiously since I got it. If you’d like to know my thoughts, please keep reading.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the video by Mariya.AE where she does a full-faced look using only highlighters. While it’s definitely a too much for every day wear, I thought it looked pretty cool, and decided to take a crack at the “Full Face Using Only Highlighters Challenge” myself. I have to admit, I did cheat a little since I didn’t have some appropriate highlighters to do the job, but I made sure that whatever I used as a replacement was just as shimmery. Surprisingly, it turned out a lot more wearable than I expected, but it still was a little extra for my liking. I decided that since this video was going to be outlandish anyway, I thought I’d throw on some circle lenses I bought a while ago just for shits and giggles! I hope you guys enjoy the video, and as always, the product list is available below.
