Since my last foundation swatch post, I’ve added a few more base products to my never-ending collection. While I was trying to find the best possible shade matches in these foundations and concealers, I had a hard time finding swatches for most of them because the ones I purchased are newer additions to the existing ranges. To help others who may be looking for similar shades (light medium and medium olive skin tones), here are some swatches for the following products: Dior Airflash Spray Foundation in 2.5 Warm Olive (321), Rare Beauty Concealer in 230N, Make Up For Ever Reboot Active Care Revitalizing Foundation in Y244 – Neutral Sand, and Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in Y373 Amber Honey. I’ll be using the Giorgio Luminous Silk foundation in 6, Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 3W1.5 Fawn, and the Pat McGrath Sublime Concealer in LM14 as comparators.Continue reading “SWATCHES | Light medium and medium olive foundations/concealers”
Well, I’ll cut right to the chase: it has been almost 2 years since my last blog post! What happened? Life. Life happened. Maybe someday I will get into what has been going on in the last 24 months (all good things, for the most part!), but today I will say goodbye to 2019, and the 10s with a short and sweet post.
Even though some time has passed, I was, and remain, a makeup obsessed person. So naturally I collected a small heap of products, with a few thoughts and opinions to go with them as well. To start, I’d like to share something I usually find very useful: swatches. Today, it will be swatches of all the foundations I currently own. I’m hoping that this will be of help to anyone who shares a similar skin tone to me.
I’m not really sure what took me so long to try this cult-classic, but I finally caved and picked up the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation to see whether it truly is, the sh*t. Everyone I know that has tried this foundation absolutely swears by it, and most reviews that I’ve read or seen have been very impressive. I guess what really reeled me in was the fact that most people say that it stays on and looks flawless for hours on end. I don’t really wear foundation on a daily basis, but when I do, that’s essentially what I’m looking for, given that my days are usually very long meaning I’m wearing my makeup for at least 8 hours. Well, I definitely put it to the test, and if you want to know my thoughts on this foundation, you know the drill!
