It’s been a while since I’ve written a ‘battle of the brands’ post on my blog, and what better way to bring it back than with these two foundations: the MAC Face & Body Foundation in the shade C3 vs. the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation in the shade 3WO. These products are similar in several (yet superficial) ways. Firstly, the both look the same, and secondly, they even have the same product names. So how do these two foundations compare and contrast? Read on to find out!Continue reading “BATTLE OF THE BRANDS | MAC Face & Body vs. Dior Face & Body Foundation”
The “soft blur” effect on lips is one of my all time favourite looks. Anything that will give that popsicle stain effect or the wine stain on the lips – I am here for ALL of it. Somewhat recently, I noticed that MAC released some new lip products, a line called Shot of Colour lip oils. Lip oils generally are products I enjoy as they are moisturizing, not as shiny as a gloss but certainly more comfortable and less sticky, and bonus points if they have a decent tint to them. These seemed to fit the bill, so I picked up three shades: Punch-Drunk Love, which is described as a ‘soft pinkish coral’, Hit Me Up, described as ‘deep mauvey rose’, and Let’s Go Streakin!, described as ‘terracotta red’. As always, read on for some swatches, comparisons to other MAC lipstick shades, and a few thoughts.Continue reading “REVIEW | MAC Shot of Colour Lip Oil”
Well, I’ll cut right to the chase: it has been almost 2 years since my last blog post! What happened? Life. Life happened. Maybe someday I will get into what has been going on in the last 24 months (all good things, for the most part!), but today I will say goodbye to 2019, and the 10s with a short and sweet post.
Even though some time has passed, I was, and remain, a makeup obsessed person. So naturally I collected a small heap of products, with a few thoughts and opinions to go with them as well. To start, I’d like to share something I usually find very useful: swatches. Today, it will be swatches of all the foundations I currently own. I’m hoping that this will be of help to anyone who shares a similar skin tone to me.
