Best Makeup Products of 2017

Is it just me, or does it really feel like the years just blow by the older we get? Seriously, 2017 came and went in, what felt like, a blink of an eye! I’m disappointed in how sporadically I posted throughout the year, and I truly apologize for my lack of activity on this blog. Even though it may not have seemed like it based on what I’ve shared, this year has been incredible. I had so many life changes happening, and while I don’t regret anything, I wish I was able to document it a little more with you guys. I want to commit to being a better blogger in 2018 and actually review more of what I’ve acquired, so please stay tuned for (hopefully) much more content in the new year.

To close this year off, I’m going to stick to a common tradition here in the beauty community by listing off my favourite products of 2017. Even though I got my hands on so many different products, there were a few products that really were my main squeezes throughout the year. These products were my fool-proof, go-to #1’s – and I’m almost certain that many of these also made it onto other people’s favourite lists for the year as well. If you’d like to know why I thought these products made it to my top list of the year, please keep reading!

REVIEW | Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Medium

If you’re an avid makeup junkie, I think you’d agree with me when I say that this product needs no introduction. The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer has taken the makeup community by storm for the last few months due to its full coverage and creamy formula. Despite its popularity, it’s still only available through the Tarte website (for Canadians), so it’s not particularly accessible. Luckily, Tarte had a promotion where they were offering free shipping on all orders. I jumped at the chance to finally get my hands on this extremely hyped up product. What are my thoughts? Keep reading to find out!

Current Summer Skincare Routine

Now that we’re halfway into summer, I think now is a better time than ever to discuss some of the items in my current summer skincare routine. When the weather is warmer, I tend to keep the makeup light while focusing on the skin a little more. This is partly because I’m too lazy to apply as much makeup as I would like, but mostly because it’s just too hot to wear a full face comfortably in humid weather. Summer is the perfect season to let your skin take the spotlight, so taking care of it should be the #1 priority. If you would like to read about the products I use and learn my thoughts about them, keep reading!
